Less Than a Month to Take Advantage of Early-Bird Pricing for Impact 2016

There are just three weeks left to lock in the early-bird member rate of $250 for NCBA CLUSA’s 2016 Annual Cooperatives Conference, scheduled for May 2 – 4 in Washington, D.C. The only cross-sector event in the nation’s capital that speaks with a united voice to our elected officials and policymakers about issues critical to U.S. cooperatives, Impact 2016 provides a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the cooperative movement.

You can play an integral role in this process. Every registrant for the 2016 Annual Cooperatives Conference will be assigned to an Advocacy Team of four or five cooperators. On May 3, each team will participate in scheduled meetings with senators, representatives and/or their staffs. This Hike the Hill event lets federal officials know who co-ops are, what co-ops look like and why consumers consistently choose goods and services provided by co-ops. During last year’s Hike the Hill, conference attendees met with more than one-third of the Senate and successfully lobbied for the establishment of a bipartisan Congressional Cooperative Business Caucus. This year’s Hike the Hill will focus on recruiting caucus members. The caucus currently has three members: Co-chair Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), co-chair Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) and Rep Reid Ribble (R-WI). Register now to be a part of this important conference and save money in the process. After March 18, NCBA CLUSA member and non-member rates will increase. Not an NCBA CLUSA member yet? Join today and benefit from the member discount on conference registration. Email membership@ncbaclusa.coop for details.
