Fifty years ago, the North American Students of Cooperation (NASCO) was officially formed. At this year's NASCO Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan, more than 400 cooperators will celebrate the organization's legacy of cooperation while sharing ideas, learning new skills and addressing issues that affect the cooperative movement worldwide.
Since 1978, NASCO's Cooperative Education & Training Institute has been widely recognized as one of the most important training and networking opportunities available to members, directors, staff and managers of group-equity cooperatives.
This year's keynote speaker is Esteban Kelly, Executive Director of the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC) and a worker-owner and co-founder of AORTA (Anti-Oppression Resource & Training Alliance), a worker co-op that builds capacity for social justice projects through intersectional training and consulting.
