Plenary Session: Mayors and City Leaders – Harnessing Co-ops for Local Impact

More and more mayors and city leaders are realizing the potential of the cooperative business model to make a positive impact in their neighborhoods. This panel will feature a cross section of mayors and city leaders who are taking different approaches to supporting the co-op ecosystem so that people can use cooperatives to create economic opportunity and address challenges within their cities. As the concluding plenary, this panel will show how relevant cooperatives are in the nation’s economy with leaders looking to innovate their own policy approaches using the cooperative principles.
